On Exhibit – Today I go to the museum to see the tree on exhibit with “its mates” in the lobby of the Cedar Key State Museum. How lovely all the offerings of the Cedar Key non-profits appear as they broadcast their messages of peace. love, and holiday cheer. Our tree is the smallest but certainly very important in its concept. Each of us was critical in the making and displaying of this tree. We are so thankful!!!

Today seven of us gathered at Carol’s to make our a collaborative JDB Christmas tree that will be displayed at the Cedar Key State Museum throughout the holiday season. Barb and Barbara arrived at Carol’s banquet of enticing craft supplies with a shiny steel tree crafted by Mark, Barb’s husband, in his Gainesville studio. Our tree has a stunning copper star on its top! Today, our task was to make this beautiful  tree our own. Together, each of us each made about 25 tiny journals from miniature copies of journey daybook pages. We added our own personality to the pages of others by trimming them with glitter, paint, writing, and decorative paper. We did all of this in about 2 1/2 hours, leaving only a glimpse of glitter on Carol’s floor. What fun we had together!

We are grateful to Carol for being such a gracious hostess today. We are expecially thankful to Mark for creating our special tree. Additionally, we thank Peggy and Barbara for the graphics, Barb and Sue for their “glitter queen” contribution, and Susan and Lois for their collage excellence. We are all so good!!

Please stop by the museum to see our tree.
