I am updating this post by adding a photo made by dear Barbara while I gave a demonstration as I made a journey daybook page. In this picture, there are only 8 of us present. Barbara was the photographer. Leslie was off on her own somewhere.
Our beautiful weekend at Camp Weed/the Cerveny Conference Center near Live Oak FL was magical. I am posting the first scanned journey daybook page I received from one of our newest alumni, Debbie from St Petersburg. (Debbie, when I receive some photos, I will move your page along with the rest of this weekend’s work to the Notes and Journey Daybook Pages page.)
Ten of us spend two days together learning to express ourselves in imagery and words. We moved about the lush, green landscape – together and alone. We enjoyed the first fall coolness. We shared our lives. We meditated. We laughed, and we cried, often with gratitude. During our practice this weekend, we learned the language we use to talk about our work, to express what we see, and to articulate how the pages we made touch our hearts.
