This Friday’s offering took our intrepid alumni to a majestic retreat only about 20 minutes from Cedar Key. We stopped at two sites in the refuge – both with water interest. In light of our emphasis on the pure water initiative, how appropriate is this! The first site is Pond #2, which I now call “Green Pond.” The second is an isolated boat launch at a small estuary that feeds the Suwannee delta. Here a large, quiet alligator floats in the brackish water as we work in our journey daybooks. Please check our Peggy’s drawing, Green Pond. on Peggy’ Blog.

Don’t miss these Friday Alumni Adventures! They are free and open to all JDB Keepers who have already attended a formal instructional adventure. Next Friday, 17 October, we will meet at the Great Pumpkin Patch at the United Methodist Church in Cedar Key at 1 PM. Judging from last year’s experience, this JDB Alumni Adventure is sure to be fun and full of journaling opportunities.
