On Saturday in Cedar Key, three of us (Patty Jett, Debby Manasala, and Peggy Herrick) paddle towards Dorsett Creek from the #4 Bridge. Our goal is to reach the “Secret Spring” by water, and we have packed our journey daybooks and minimal art materials for this expedition. We launch our boats at 2 PM, with an incoming tide. The wind blows fresh from the north east, and paddling is difficult. After several difficulties we arrive at Corrigan’s Reef at 4 PM in time for a picnic and to reassess. We make “the turn” at Live Oak Key and decide to complete the journey to the spring at a later time. We return to our launch site sure of our route and confident in the next step.

On Sunday, Peggy makes a presentation about the journal as a method of prayer to a special group of 40 people at St Augustine’s Parish in Gainesville. Read more on Peggy’s blog.
