Our board made its first retreat together this weekend at Camp Weed and the Cerveny Conference Center just east of Live Oak FL from September 10 to 11. I think that everyone would agree that we had a magical time together. It was so good to enjoy each other and reconnect with our Mary Anna who now lives in North Carolina. We shared personal travel adventures, events in our lives, and journey daybook pages. We drew and painted new pages and we tested out a potential new curriculum unit – “Reusing Journey Daybook Pages.” During the 24-hour period, each of us made a portfolio, 2 small books, and a tiny box, We also had rest time and were well fed by the capable and kind staff at Camp Weed.
