Last Saturday a small group of JDB alumni had our monthly gathering at our local winery, Dakotah, north of Chiefland on US route 19. Dr Max and his son have operated this wonderful island of beauty for over 25 years in this location. They grow several varieties of muscadine grapes from which they make both both wine and juice. Their business operates a wine store where they offer wine tastings and a large selection of wine, food, and food-related gifts.
