Due to popular demand, we are sponsoring a Journey Daybook Cedar Key Cruise again this year for Journey Daybook alumni.  This year’s itinerary is a bit different, but it is still aboard Captain Doug’s “Princess Annie” that we enjoyed so much last year. Captain Doug will take us to Atsena Otie (the first Cedar Key), where we will walk and paint, perhaps in the old cemetery. We will reboard the boat to look for elusive white pelicans, which spend the winter here. Then, we will go to Seahorse Key and draw the old lighthouse and look for more birds – frigate birds and nesting eagles. Captain Doug is an experienced naturalist as well as a U S Coast Guard licenced captain. His knowledge of the area is impressive, and he will make the trip a memorable one for our limited group.

Save the date – Friday, 14 November. We will leave at 12 noon sharp and return to the Cedar Key City Park by 3:30. Bring your own lunch. We will furnish some drinks and snacks. The cost is $40. each, and the places are limited.

Reserve your space now! Send a check for $20 to The Journey Daybook  .  P O Box 980  .  Cedar Key FL 32625.
